Faking solar flare

solar flare using Papervision3D After a while being very quiet, I post again a new test made with papervision3D.
I tried to fake a solar flare.
I have working with three differents flares map that fade in/out and a PointLigth3D that shades the planet. The material is a PhongShader. The effect looks nice but I will try to improve it with a real flare ... I dont know when ... lay be never.
Unrelated, I will be silent for a while ..
Indeed, that's my last graduate year that implicates to finish projects and thesis. While I write about it, I'm working with two schoolmates Julien Moreau and Alban de Fraipont on cloud computing application made in Flash Actionscript 3.0 for FlashPlayer 10 called nobedon©.
We will release it soon.
For my thesis, subject is "What did XML brought to the web". If anyone has something to say about it, you are welcome.
